Bauhaus Imaginista

The exhibition “Bauhaus Imaginista” opens from 15 March to 10 June 2019 at Berlin’s Haus der Kulturen der Welt. The “Bauhaus Imaginista” series of exhibitions and events will begin exploring the global interconnections of the Bauhaus in March of 2018. Four autonomously developed exhibitions will be presented in various art and design museums as well as cultural institutions in Japan, China, Russia and Brazil. The exhibition in Kyoto will feature loans from the Bauhaus-Archiv and will open on 4 August 2018. All of the programme’s stops will be organised in cooperation with the local Goethe-Institut and supplemented through additional events in India, the US, Morocco and Nigeria. The individual sections of the exhibition will be united in Berlin and presented in a large-scale, comprehensive show in June of 2019. The Bauhaus-Archiv will be represented by a large number of original works in the exhibition at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. There are also plans for contributing to the accompanying programme of events, particularly in the area of cultural education.
