The Wiegand House, with tour of the interior

Peter Behrens, architect and founder of the Werkbund, designed this villa and garden in what is now the Dahlem district of Berlin more than 100 years ago for Theodor Wiegand, an archaeologist and director of the Antikensammlung Berlin. The prestigious villa, with hints of modern industrial buildings and of classical Greek antiquity, today houses the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut. Both the exterior and interior of the building can be viewed during the tour.
