100th anniversary of “Reflective Plays of Light”

A Bauhaus film night dedicated to Kurt Schwerdtfeger

Can you draw with light instead of ink? Yes! The Bauhaus student Kurt Schwerdtfeger composed colourful, moving and synaesthetic works, his so-called “Reflektorische Lichtfarbspiele” (Reflective Plays of Light). Exactly one hundred years ago, they were shown for the first time. To mark the anniversary, we are presenting a selection of films by Schwerdtfeger and his fellow student Ludwig Hirschfeld-Mack as well as a portrait of the artist. Please join our conversation afterwards!

Limited capacity. Please register in advance here.
