Unpacking Jak R. Maier

unpacking event 3 | What does Jak R. Maier’s estate contain?

Free admission.
At the temporary bauhaus-archiv, Knesebeckstr. 1, 10623 Berlin.

The six-part unpacking events dynamically presents the themes of the exhibition Unpacking Jak R. Maier. In discussions with experts from the academic and professional fields and in live unpacking events, the museum team examines the hidden treasures of the artist’s estate. The findings will be documented on site by the designers sieblersiebler, which will steadily change the exhibition as more of the estate comes to light.

The estate of Jak R. Maier consists of drawings, photographs, sculptures, and diverse documents. Most of them are decades old and reveal much about Maier’s life and career. With our guests and colleagues, we explore Maier’s artistic and professional development.
