The Neues Museum Nuremberg is the first work of the architect Volker Staab. On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the museum is now presenting an exhibition by Staab Architekten on the meaning of "context". br />
For this exhibition, the museum's façade will be used in an unusual way. Transparent image planes alter the effect of the formative visual axes in the building and transform the open areas into light rooms. This intervention not only shows the relation of the museum to the public square in front of it, but also plays with the basic idea of the building to reveal the museum rooms behind the glass façade.
