Norm and Form

Design for everyone?

Daily life is full of designed objects that help us, annoy us and sometimes even hinder us. What is inclusive design? What features would we like to see at the future Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung, and what can we realistically implement? A small-scale research project on inclusively designed objects at the temporary bauhaus-archiv aims to address these questions. It reviews the backstories of barriers, aids and strategies in the local neighbourhood of the temporary in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The project playfully scrutinises the norms that apply to exhibition practice and attempts to find funny, quirky design alternatives.

A research and exhibition project by Silke Feldhoff, Dirk Sorge, Nina Wiedemeyer and the Büro für Sinn und Unsinn (Office of Sense and Nonsense)

Scheduled to start in May 2021

The temporary bauhaus-archiv is closed temporarily.
