With László Moholy-Nagy, the newspaper photo becomes a Constructivist composition that disregards aspects of content. The radio and the loudspeaker cone become a square and a circle. The leafless tree recognizable in the photo appears as a black cross, with its branches marked as a white cross as if in a negative shadow. The light and dark of the window ledge are converted into a grid of coloured lines and surfaces.
