Early Reflections

An audio-visual room installation

27.01.-01.02.2024

The twelfth graders of the advanced art class at the Carl-von-Ossietzky comprehensive high school are presenting an audio-visual room installation at the temporary bauhaus-archiv. The installation entitled “Early Reflections” highlights the themes of loneliness and self-love. The students came up with the idea after attending the workshop concert “Pierrot Lunaire” by Arnold Schönberg, performed during the bauhaus music weekend on 22 September 2023.

Inspired by the richly emotional world of the protagonist Pierrot, the students developed three distinct sound art and musical pieces, which they then spatially rendered at the temporary bauhaus-archiv. They were assisted by their art teacher Johanna Warm, the artist Claire Fristot and the composer Alexandre Decoupigny.

Opens on 26 January, 5:30 pm
