Contemporary design meets the Bauhaus
Collector and journalist Wolfgang Binder presents ingeniously designed objects from the past 60 years in five short films. Both entertaining and enlightening, the animated films reveal the stories behind the designs. In each film, contemporary design meets objects and ideas of the Bauhaus and its cultural sphere. They illustrate how language itself can be used as a design tool, where a hand sculpture lies within a dishwashing sponge, or how the simple act of making coffee can become an artform.
The short films are shown together with the corresponding objects on the gallery of the temporary bauhaus-archiv.
