The Photo Service

The Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung is happy to make its extensive photo archive available for publications and for research purposes. Our photo services can supply illustrations in various formats and for different types of usage. More information is available in our General Terms and Conditions of Business.

Photographs cost € 10.00 per printable scan. Reproduction fees also apply, depending on the type of publication and sales level. We would be happy to send you a copy of the relevant price lists by e-mail.

Copyright fees must be collected by users themselves before any publication and users bear the cost of these themselves. Many artists and photographers represented in the Archive are represented by the royalties collection society Verwertungsgesellschaft (VG) Bild-Kunst. We would be happy to assist in establishing further contact.

Please use the photo ordering form for your order and return it to us along with your request by e-mail, fax, or post.

You can help us to attend your requests quicker if you do the following: Please try to find the images you want to use, via: Open-Archive.

Fill out the Photo Order Form completely and send it back to us by e-mail together with the general business agreement signed. Upon receiving them we will contact you for sending the images. If you could not find the image you want on our open archive, please send us your inquiry via e-mail (fotoservice@bauhaus.de) with a screenshot or details of the image you are looking for and we will try to answer your inquiry within 3 weeks.
