Its director Fritz Wichert described the Frankfurt Art School as a \u201cdown-to-earth realization of the Bauhaus\u201d, and it had close ties to the Bauhaus in Weimar. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-ho-lane-item col col-md-6 col-xs-12 col-md-offset-6\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ho-div\">\t<p class='ho-sd-body-einzug'>Education there had a heavily practical orientation: numerous designs and works realized in the workshops were created directly in connection with the extensive town-planning programme known today as The New Frankfurt. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-ho-lane-item col col-md-6 col-xs-12 col-md-offset-6\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ho-div\">\t<p class='ho-sd-body-einzug'>The exhibition uses selected objects from the collections of the Bauhaus-Archiv to shed light on the art school\u2019s influence and on its relationship with the Bauhaus.
