As part of the project Bauhaus@Gropiusstadt. Shaping the Neighbourhood<\/a>, we explored the question of which spaces and places are available to young people in the district \u2014 and what scope they have for shaping their environment and participating in decision-making.

In cooperation with neighborhood coordinator Juana Schulze and the Wutzkyallee Youth Center, a construction week took place from 22 to 26 July 2024. Johannes and Franz Siebler from sieblersiebler<\/a> worked with young people to build tables and chairs for the youth center's garden.

The focus was on collaborative building and the experience of using unconventional craft techniques: the furniture was bent from construction steel, connected with wire, and then welded. Tabletops and seating surfaces were made of wood and concrete.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
