Marguerite Friedländer-Wildenhain was one of the first four apprentices in the workshop. In her later work – as here, in vase designs for the Berlin porcelain factory (‘Halle Form’, 1931) – she successfully further developed inspirations from Dornburg. Formally, the conical base, oval body and conically extended neck were combined to form pieces with a strong sculptural quality and a strict elegance. Friedländer developed a jug with a handle using the same formal approach.
