Bauhaus-Archiv e.V.

The Bauhaus-Archiv was founded as a private association by Hans Maria Wingler in 1960, with the support of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius and other former Bauhaus members. The founders’ aim was to carry out research on and present to the public the history and influence of the Bauhaus (1919–1933) – the twentieth century’s most important school of architecture, design and art. Through their personal commitment, donations and gifts, they laid the foundations for the world’s largest collection on the Bauhaus.
Membership in our association is open to anyone interested.
