The Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung owns the world’s largest collection on the Bauhaus (1919–1933), the most important school of architecture, design and art of the 20th century.

Please note: The museum is currently closed. Our building, which was designed by Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, is being renovated in line with its listed status and expanded through a new building by Staab Architekten.

In the meantime, you are welcome to visit us in our project space Temporary Bauhaus-Archiv. Behind the scenes, we are working on our new exhibitions, inclusive learning concepts, various digital offerings and our collections – in a sustainable manner fit for the future. As we do so, we are guided by the mission statement developed by all of us together.
