On a walking tour of the Ringsiedlung Siemensstadt, we will immerse ourselves in the urban planning visions of the 1920s. We will discover buildings designed by Hans Scharoun, Walter Gropius and Hugo Häring, among others, and examine how we perceive architecture and urban space today. In a subsequent workshop, we will share our personal impressions, associations and recollections, from which we will assemble three-dimensional collages – mini architectural models that evoke utopian visions and everyday reality, emotions and functionality.
During the three-hour workshop, a former shop in Goebelstrasse will be transformed into a venue of cultural local supply, a neighbourhood hub where the public can express and discuss their wishes, questions and ideas.
The project ‘RADIUS.Kultur – Cultural local supply in Siemensstadt 2025’ is organised in cooperation with the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Gymnasium, Thomas Krüger / TICKET B and Carsten Cremer / Cultural Agent for the Triennale der Moderne 2025 and is funded by the Berlin State Office for Monument Protection.
