“I felt released, freed,” recalled composer Ruth Crawford Seeger after visiting the Bauhaus Dessau in 1931. Freedom and exile are the highly topical themes of this year’s Bauhaus Music Festival (17-19 October 2024). The three-day festival celebrates the musical life and works at the historic Bauhaus and highlights its artistic and political positions, past and present.
The Bauhaus Music Festival is organised by the Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung and directed by Michal Friedländer, Kai Hinrich Müller and Karl-Heinz Steffens.
