Soon after its foundation, the Bauhaus developed a mission statement and a corporate identity. The artistic and educational institution constantly sought a dialogue with a wide variety of stakeholders: these included political decision-makers and media representatives as well as artists, its own students and the local public. In addition to targeted press work, the institution organised public events, such as festivals and exhibitions, and it launched its own publications, such as magazines and the Bauhaus Books. This volume is the first to focus on public relations work at the Bauhaus in the form of communication strategies, publications, exhibitions and their media resonance.
