The Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung owns the world’s largest collection on the Bauhaus (1919–1933), the most important school of architecture, design and art of the 20th century. Here we preserve, research and present the objects, documents and media entrusted to us.

The museum is currently closed, as the building designed by Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius is being renovated in line with its listed status and expanded through a new building by Staab Architekten. Behind the scenes, we are working on our new exhibitions, inclusive educational concepts, digital offerings and our collections across several locations. We are continuing to develop our organisational structure and are asking ourselves how we want to work together as an institution and team in the future. In doing so, we are guided by our jointly developed mission statement.
