Accessibility On Site
We want as many people as possible to be able to visit the exhibition.
On this page, you will find information about accessibility for the exhibition “New Woman, New Vision. Women Photographers of the Bauhaus”.
The exhibition takes place at the Museum für Fotografie in Berlin.

Getting There
The museum is easily accessible by public transport (S-Bahn, U-Bahn and bus).
The station “Zoologischer Garten” is located within walking distance of the museum.
S-Bahn: Please use the Jebensstraße exit. From there, the museum is just a few minutes walking distance away. The route includes lowered curbs and a pedestrian crossing.
Please note: Construction work is currently taking place in the surrounding area, which may affect access routes. If you have any questions, please contact us in advance and we will be happy to help.

The museum entrance is step-free.
A doorbell is located to the left of the entrance.
An elevator provides access to all floors of the building.
The exhibition is located on the second floor.

Access to the exhibition is via a heavy door that does not open automatically. If needed, museum staff will be happy to assist you and accompany you to the exhibition.
In the Exhibition
Seating is available throughout the exhibition.
The exhibition spaces have varying lighting conditions. Some areas are intentionally kept dimmer to help protect the photographs.
There are no loudspeakers or sound stations in the exhibition.
Biographies of the artists and descriptions of some artworks can be listened to on tablets. The audio recordings can also be played on your own smartphone by scanning QR codes.
At peak times, the exhibition can be more crowded which may make it louder.
Exhibition texts are available in both German and English.
An easy-to-read guide is available to the left of the exhibition entrance.
Toilets
An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor.

Parts of the Museum für Fotografie are currently undergoing renovation.
As a result, accessibility arrangements and routes within the building may change at short notice.
