The Temporary Bauhaus-Archiv
Lorem ipsum
Whilst the Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung is being renovated in accordance with conservation guidelines and extended with a new building designed by Staab Architekten, we are open for you at the Temporary Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
Our exhibitions, events and Bauhaus Labs invite you to get involved, explore and linger. You can also find out more about our building site and the future museum, or visit the Bauhaus-Shop featuring original Bauhaus pieces and design products. Do drop by! “sieblersiebler” has redesigned the elegant retail space in Haus Hardenberg.
We are currently offering a preview of our exhibition “New Woman, New Vision. Women Photographers of the Bauhaus”, with which we are guests at the Museum für Fotografie until 4 October. In the Temporary Bauhaus-Archiv, we present biographies and reproductions of selected works by the approximately 30 Bauhaus photographers and the contemporary artists Kalinka Gieseler, Caroline Kynast and Sinta Werner. At the same time, you can get creative yourself and design your own postcards using motifs from the Bauhaus photographers.
The video work “2292 Tage, 6 Jahre und 100 Tage – das Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung” by Catrin Schmitt shows the progress of construction on our new museum building.
Admission is free.
