Code of Conduct

The Bauhaus-Archiv sees itself as an open, welcoming place where current design questions can be addressed from various perspectives – experimentally, playfully, inquisitively and creatively.
Lorem ipsum
We align our actions and activities with the principles outlined in the following documents:
Lorem ipsum
We consider diversity and tolerance to be the foundation of our actions. We are willing to question our viewpoints and recognise perspectives different than our own as long as they are rooted in the fundamental values of our democracy.
We actively confront and combat every form of discrimination and their consequences. We firmly believe that no person should be discriminated against on account of their age, ethnic background and nationality, gender and sexual identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and worldview, sexual orientation or social background.
We do not tolerate harassment, the abuse of power or assault of any kind in our working culture and decisively take action against it.
We cultivate a culture that creates a safe environment, allows us to engage in dialogue with one another, address conflicts and share feedback. We treat each other with respect and appreciation.
We work together in a constructive, solution-oriented and transparent manner. We assume responsibility for our actions. We keep our agreements; honouring commitments is important to us.
The team of the Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung pledges to follow this code of conduct.
Likewise, we expect the same from our partners, contractors and visitors.
Those who are affected by or who observe discrimination or any violation of this code of conduct, can contact:

Social Media Netiquette (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Our social media channels thrive on interaction with you. To ensure fruitful discussions, we are committed to respect, fairness and treating one another with mutual appreciation. We promote a culture of open debate in which differing opinions have their place and constructive criticism is always welcome.
As a public institution, we uphold the values of the free and democratic constitutional order, as well as the principles of diversity, human dignity and equality enshrined in the Basic Law. Contributions that contradict these principles have no place on our channels.
We therefore have clear rules for our channels, which are set out in our netiquette. Content that breaches these rules will be removed. Depending on the severity of the breach, we also reserve the right to report or block users.
1. No hate speech, no bullying
We do not tolerate posts that insult, discriminate against, demean or deliberately attack people. This includes hateful comments, incitement to hatred, threats, public shaming or calls for violence.
2. Fact-based content
Please ensure that you only share verifiable information. The dissemination of misinformation, unsubstantiated claims, rumours or deliberately misleading content does not contribute to objective discussions and will therefore not be tolerated. Links to unreliable sources are also not permitted.
3. Privacy
We take privacy seriously. Please ensure that you do not publish any personal or sensitive data, such as addresses, telephone numbers or email addresses, neither your own nor those of other people.
4. No Advertising & No Spam
Our channels are for discussion, not for advertising. Unsolicited advertising, spam, chain letters, automated or bot-generated comments and repeated identical comments are not permitted.
5. Copyright and usage rights
Please ensure that you only share content (text, images, videos and music) for which you have the necessary permission or which may be used in accordance with the law. Copyright-protected content must not be published, distributed or further processed without permission and a correct citation of the source.
