For their project RADIUS.Kultur, students at the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Gymnasium explore the historic and contemporary significance of Siemensstadt. The project focuses on the concept of “cultural local supply”, defined as the interplay of social, cultural and community-based activities in urban space.

During the five-day action week, the organisers will transform a former salesroom, currently used as an info station by TICKET B | Office for Architectural Education, into a vibrant student and neighbourhood hub. The location will become an art studio, performance venue and meeting place all in one. Together with the young project participants, we invite you to participate in a Storytelling Café and Laundromat Talks, view films and photos, visit a flea market and develop artistic formats that energise the neighbourhood.
The aim is to reimagine local supply as a cultural practice – amongst architecture, in everyday life and with one another.

Architectural supermarket – Workshop 14/11/25
On a walking tour of the Ringsiedlung Siemensstadt, we will immerse ourselves in the urban planning visions of the 1920s. We will discover buildings designed by Hans Scharoun, Walter Gropius and Hugo Häring, among others, and examine how we perceive architecture and urban space today. In a subsequent workshop, we will share our personal impressions, associations and recollections, from which we will assemble three-dimensional collages – mini architectural models that evoke utopian visions and everyday reality, emotions and functionality.
During the three-hour workshop, a former shop in Goebelstrasse will be transformed into a venue of cultural local supply, a neighbourhood hub where the public can express and discuss their wishes, questions and ideas.
Participation is free. Please register in advance.
