The more crooked the line, the better!
During his studies, Walter Gropius wrote to his mother that he was ‘not so good at drawing’. Later, drawing exercises were an important part of the Bauhaus preliminary course.
‘Draw what you see, not what you know’, Josef Albers taught his students. Under this motto, we would like to approach the drawn line and test tasks from Albers' preliminary course in the workshop. We will explore the line, practise and experiment in various drawing stations.
The workshop will be led in German but our educators can explain the tasks in English to you, too.
You are also welcome to drop by spontaneously and see if there are any workshop places available. However, please don't be disappointed if all places are taken.
