Your Voice Counts: “Become a Stammtisch-Fighter - Speak Up Against Right-Wing and Racist Slogans”

Hands holding various informational materials and flyers on the topic of racism and social participation.

Whether at the office, at a sports club, within the family or on the street – we’ve all been in these situations: comments are made that leave us speechless. Later on, we get annoyed. We wish we’d spoken up, objected, and not simply let right-wing hate speech go unchallenged.

This is precisely where the ‘Stammtischkämpfer*innen’ seminar comes in. It encourages people to overcome that moment of hesitation, take a stand and make it clear: we will not let right-wing slogans go unchallenged! Through theory and practice, we learn to recognise typical right-wing patterns of argument and to counter them convincingly. It’s not just about standing up to them, but about championing a society based on solidarity and diversity - against exclusion, racism and misanthropy.

Please note: Our workshops are general in nature and are not specifically designed as empowerment programmes for people who have experienced racism. We strive to create as safe and respectful a space as possible for all participants.

The seminar is run by “Aufstehen gegen Rassismus”.

An event as part of our series “An Exercise in Defending Democracy” series.
