Bauhaus Music 2026
13 and 14 November 2026
The two-day festival “Bauhaus Music” will take place on November 13 and 14 in St. Elisabeth. It is dedicated to the idea of synesthesia and invites audiences to experience sound, colour, space, body and movement in new ways. The concert programme, dedicated to musical modernism, moves between avant-garde, classical, experimental music and jazz. The festival’s title, “I Feel Air from Another Planet,” is based on a quote by Arnold Schönberg. It became the guiding principle of a kind of music that leaves familiar structures behind and opens up new realms of listening and perception. It will be accompanied by workshops on the Bauhaus theory of harmonisation at the Temporary Bauhaus-Archiv.
