Dream-Lab Gropiusstadt 2025

In the holiday project “Dream-Lab Gropiusstadt”, children and young people from the neighbourhood around the Family Centre of the Apfelsinenkirche engaged creatively with their dreams. Under the artistic direction of Kunst Werk Stadt Berlin e.V., they collected and reflected on their personal wishes and thoughts – and transformed them artistically. From 24 to 31 July 2024, the Family Centre became a shared creative space in which the participants designed and crafted cushions and a large carpet for the community hall of the Apfelsinenkirche. Within these works, dreams became visible, tangible – and are now part of a collective artwork at the heart of Gropiusstadt.
