The Bauhaus-Archiv is happy to make its extensive photo archive available for publications and for research purposes. The Photo Service can supply hi-res scans and fine art prints in various formats and for different types of usage. More information is available in our Terms and Conditions of Use.

How to order

Please fill in the Photo Order Form and send it back to us by e-mail together with the signed Terms and Conditions of Use. Please give as much details as possible of the images you're looking for (artist, title, theme, screenshot). A part of our collection can be searched online via our online database (in the section "Bereich", select "Fotografie"). This helps us process your requests more quickly.
Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill in the PDF document and save any changes can be downloaded here for free.

Costs

Hi-res scans cost 10 € per scan and are printable up to A3 at 300 dpi. Usage fees for these hi-res files also apply, depending on the type of publication. We are happy to send you a copy of the relevant price lists by e-mail upon request.

Copyright

The Bauhaus-Archiv holds the rights to the digital files which is not the same as the copyright which protects original works of art. Before any publication of the digital images provided by us, users must clear copyrights themselves and pay any required fees. The Photo Service will inform you how to clear this additional permission and can assist in establishing contact with the copyright holders.
Many artists and photographers whose work we hold are represented by the royalties collection society VG Bild-Kunst.
