The design_lab is being offered from April until the end of June 2024 at the girls’ sport centre Wilde Hütte. Every Tuesday afternoon, the museum educators Cornelia Durka and Julia Marquardt and youth volunteer Safaa Anani work with participants to make their fashion and sports designs a reality. The girls work independently on their own projects, practise using a knitting machine, learn about upcycling and design creative outfits.

The design_lab is part of the project bauhaus@gropiusstadt. Designing the Neighbourhood in Berlin-Neukölln and is made possible through the Youth Culture Initiative. The organisation is funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion and is supported by the Berlin Mondiale accompanying programme.
