We mourn Edzard Reuter

The Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung mourns the loss of Edzard Reuter (16 February 1928 – 27 October 2024). He served as our chairman from 1995 until 2011. With great vision and extraordinary commitment, he supported our work and played a key role in advancing the architectural competition of our new museum project.

Markus Klimmer: “When I succeeded Edzard Reuter as chairman of the Executive Board in 2011, it was my great honour to continue supporting the Bauhaus-Archiv as he would have wished.”

Annemarie Jaeggi: “Edzard Reuter devoted enormous energy and passion to the Bauhaus-Archiv. We have lost a companion and friend, whom we will always remember with deep gratitude.”
